Hello to those who may read this, my name is Jericho Fontillas. I am eighteen years old, and I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I recently moved to Vegas around three years ago as a change of pace. Currently taking life step by step, trying to figure out what I really want to pursue as a career. I graduated somewhat early from high school at sixteen and have been working ever since junior year as a server. Being young and wanting change, I've worked at several restaurants and finally quit my job in December to work for a robotics company. Hopefully, this is something I could truly stick to and maybe I'll be a kid still and jump around looking for another job.
My first impression of IS101 was that is that it is a little out of the ordinary. Seeing my professor text my phone number was definitely the start of it. Not saying that I was not weirded out, but it came to be alright. It's honestly nice to see that the professor wants to see his students on top of work while thinking critically without being completely pushy but ultimately leading them into the right direction.
Artificial Intelligence 2.7.11. I have been using this topic ever since the summer of last year. Artificial intelligence intrigues me. Intrigues me to the point where I quit my server job in order to work on robots. In my robotics company, my team has been working on perfecting a robot that makes drinks and interacts with customers. I came in this project during the soft opening for the store in which my team has made sure that the robot pours the right amount of ingredients into a cup in order for the drink not to overfill it and speaks to the customers to entertain them and help them decide on a drink based on their preferences.
